The roots of Pockauer Werkzeugbau Oertel GmbH date back to the beginning of the 1960s.
After the political turn of events of 1989, the company was established on July 1, 1991 on the basis of the tool making department of the former company Messelektronik Pockau. Back then, at the time of the independent new start, the company had 19 employees. On July 1, 1996, Matthias Oertel purchased all company shares and has been sole shareholder ever since. Thanks to the good development as of that time, it was soon possible to overcome the initial economic problems. |

The increasing number of orders by large automotive suppliers and other companies made it possible to invest in new machines and plants. Due to the continuous increase of the number of employees and the manufactured tool sizes, the rented premises at the old location Pockau soon became too small. For this reason, the company began to relocate to Lengefeld from July 1998. There, an already existing production hall was extended, which created more favourable conditions for the manufacture. In addition, the working conditions for the employees were significantly improved. Due to the strong demand for high-quality tools, it became necessary to construct another new building. We moved into the new production hall in 2005. Right now, the tool assembly department and a sample press with 8,000 kN are located in this hall. Subsequent to this, the engineering department moved into the office building, which also had been newly constructed. Today, the company has 80 employees, whereas the largest part of these were educated and trained in the own training department for specialized workers and engineers. Continuous new investments in machines and plants, and the improvement of the processes allow for an efficient and future-oriented manufacture for the benefit of our customers. |
